Jamie and his wife Johnel currently reside on their farm about 25 miles outside of Montgomery, AL. In the last fifteen years Jamie has been recognized by the professional brewing community over a dozen times for innovation and attention to detail in his craft.
The most recent recognition Jamie received is a Silver medal for Back Forty’s Truck Stop Honey brown Ale at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO. This marks Jamie’s sixth recognition at the GABF, which is widely regarded as one of the premier beer judging competitions in the world.
When not in the Brew House, Jamie and Johnel spend their time managing “Running J” Equestrian Farm, where they breed and train American Quarter Horses.
